So with the start of Boston by Beat on Boston.com and a deal to start providing arts stories to the Providence Journal, it became time to retire N.E. Metal. The metal blog began about a year ago when I spent three days live blogging at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. That just turned into an ongoing forum for reviews of shows and CDs and interviews with metal bands working the greater Masshole territory. It was great connecting with all the killer bands in the region, and I hope we keep the metal news flowing in Boston by Beat.
